Convenient Mixed-Paper Drop-offs Parents, Students and Others

Got Paper?  If so, you’re eligible to participate in the new "Got Paper? Hungry Green Dumpster" Program to help Fort Lauderdale public and private schools increase recycling in our City. 

The GOT PAPER program is open to everyone. Take part in the "Got Paper? Hungry Green Dumpster" Program by dropping off the following materials at any of the participating schools: 

• Cereal boxes,
• Clean pizza boxes,
• Copy paper,
• Junk mail,
• Large corrugated cardboard,
• Magazines and catalogues, and
• School and home office paper (any color).

Participating schools will have a dumpster located on the campus that is designated for all acceptable program materials.  The dumpster may be used by residents and businesses to drop-off recyclable paper goods.

Multifamily residents who do not have a basic newspaper recycling program may use the dumpster to recycle newspaper and all other clean scrap paper. However, residents that have a blue newspaper recycling bin should continue to recycle their newspapers at the curb and bring all the rest of their household paper to one of the participating schools.

Each school will receive a bonus for participating, and the top three schools that produce the most recyclable program materials will receive an additional bonus.

Operational costs for the delivery and collection of the dumpsters have been offset through the generosity of local sponsors.

NOTE: All Broward County schools may also participate in campus recycling programs through the Broward County Schools Recycling Program.
