Facts About Your Water
Drop Savers Water Conservation Poster Contest
The City of Fort Lauderdale, in partnership with the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association, sponsors the Drop Savers Water Conservation Poster Contest to celebrate Drinking Water Week, which is designed to promote water awareness and the importance of water conservation through creative thinking and design.
Students in grades K-12 from Fort Lauderdale public, private, and charter schools were invited to participate in the contest. Entries were submitted by 112 who used their own ideas, designs, and slogans to create posters that demonstrated their knowledge and understanding about the importance of conserving water.
The contest winners, along with their families and their teachers, attended a recent Fort Lauderdale City Commission meeting and were publicly recognized for their achievements.
