Early Morning Water Main Break Closes Traffic to Portion of NW 9th Avenue

Fort Lauderdale - Update: 8:30 a.m. - An early morning break in an eight-inch water main on NW 16th Street is impacting traffic on Southbound NW 9th Avenue (also known as Powerline Road). Fort Lauderdale Police are detouring traffic around the area.

Southbound NW 9th Avenue is currently closed between NW 16th Street and NW 19th Street.

Workers will remain on the scene until the leak is fixed.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
