Precautionary Advisory LIFTED for Inland Recreational Waters in Seminole Lake

Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Broward County Health Department, has lifted the precautionary advisory for the recreational waters in Seminole Lake. Bacteriological test results indicate Seminole Lake is clear for fishing, swimming, jet skiing, and other water-related activities.

Residents who live on the following streets whose properties abut Seminole Lake may resume water-related activities in the lake:

  • Southern side of N.E. 14th Street between Bayview Drive and the Intracoastal Waterway
  • Eastern side of Bayview Drive between N.E. 14th Street and N.E. 12th Street
  • Northern side of N.E. 12th Street  between Bayview Drive and Seminole Drive
  • Northern or western side of Seminole Drive between N.E. 12th Street and N.E. 14th Street

The health advisory was issued on September 12th following a sewer line break.
