Streets at FEC Railway Crossings Closed from SW 2nd Street to SW 17th Street

Fort Lauderdale - 2:30 p.m. - Pending an investigation, streets at all FEC railway crossings from SW 2nd Street to SW 17th Street are blocked by a train.

Motorists should seek alternate routes for the next two hours or more. SR84 and Broward Boulevard crossings are open.

Police are investigating a fatality involving a train vs. a pedestrian at SW 2nd Street.

UPDATE: THE TRAIN IS MOVING AND STREETS ARE CLEARING

3:25 p.m. - Streets at FEC railway crossings from SW 2nd Street to SW 17th Street that were blocked by a train earlier this afternoon are now clearing.

Police are investigating a fatality involving a train vs. a pedestrian at SW 2nd Street
