TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Street and Lane Closures Along Sistrunk Boulevard - Weeks of April 18 and 25

Fort Lauderdale - The following street and/or lane closures will be in effect during the weeks of April 18 and April 25, 2011 as part of the Sistrunk Boulevard Infrastructure Project.

Effective April 20, 2011
Lane Closure: Intersection of NW 6 Street and NW 14 Terrace

Effective Wednesday, April 20, 2011, the intersection of NW 6 Street and NW 14 Terrace will experience transitional lane closures with flagmen directing motorists around the affected area. Traffic will resume normal flow by the end of the week.

Effective April 25, 2011
Street Closure: NW 15 Terrace from NW 5 Street to NW 6 Street

Effective the week of Monday, April 25, 2011, NW 15 Terrace will close from NW 5 Street to NW 6 Street. Only local traffic will be allowed to access the area during this period to the extent possible. Motorists will be detoured around the affected area via NW 15 Avenue to the east and NW 17 Avenue to the west. The roadway will reopen at the end of the work week.

Effective April 27, 2011
Street Closure: NW 14 Avenue from NW 5 Street to NW 6 Street

Effective Wednesday, April 27, 2011, NW 14 Avenue will close from NW 5 Street to NW 6 Street. Only local traffic will be allowed to access the area during this period to the extent possible. Motorists will be detoured around the affected area via NW 13 Avenue to the east and NW 15 Avenue to the west. The roadway will reopen at the end of the work week.

In each work area, signs will be posted to alert motorists of the traffic restrictions and detours. Motorists are reminded to travel slowly in the work zone to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and other motorists.
