TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Northwest Neighborhood Project

Crosswalk Closures Scheduled to begin Monday, March 14, 2011

Fort Lauderdale – Beginning Monday, March 14 the neighborhoods of Durrs and Home Beautiful can expect some traffic delays due to crosswalk/partial lane closures.  The purpose for the closures is for the installation of decorative asphalt crosswalks. 

The closures will last seven days (excluding weekends) and work should be completed by March 22, 2011.

The partial lanes closures will occur in the following locations:

  • NW 7th Street
  • NW 12th Avenue
  • NW 11th Avenue
  • NW 10th Terrace
  • NW 6th Court

As in any work zone, motorists are reminded to pay special attention to workers, traffic control devices, signs and posted speed limits to ensure safe passage through the work zone.
