TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Sistrunk Boulevard to be Closed from NW 22 Road to NW 23 Avenue Beginning January 11, 2011

Fort Lauderdale - Beginning Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 9:00 a.m., Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale will be closed between NW 22 Road and NW 23 Avenue.  The closure is necessary to allow the City of Fort Lauderdale Public Works Department to make a repair to a gravity sewer in the area.

The following detours will be in effect beginning Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.:

  • Westbound traffic on Sistrunk Boulevard will be detoured around the affected area using NW 22 Road, NW 6 Court, and  NW 24 Avenue.
  • Eastbound traffic on Sistrunk Boulevard will detoured around the affected area using NW 23 Avenue, NW 5 Street, and NW 21 Terrace.

Signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the detours.  Motorists should expect delays in and around the affected area.

The repair work is expected to be completed by end of day Friday, January 14, 2011.
