S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge Closure

Fort Lauderdale - The S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for approximately one year beginning August 11, 2009.

The extended closure is necessary to conduct a complete overhaul and rehabilitation of the Swing Bridge.

Marine traffic will not be affected by the closure. Signage will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the closure.

While the bridge is closed, vehicular traffic will be detoured to S.W. 7th / S.W. 4th Avenue. Motorists may also access the neighborhoods adjacent to the bridge via Broward Boulevard at S.W. 18th Avenue or Davie Boulevard at S.W. 15th Avenue.
