S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge Temporarily Closed

Fort Lauderdale - The S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic until further notice.

The temporary closure is necessary to repair navigational lights on the bridge. The City is currently in the process of making the repairs and expects to reopen the bridge by 6:00 p.m. this evening. If further repairs are needed, the City will issue an update.

Marine traffic will not be affected by the closure.

Signage is posted in the area to alert motorists of the bridge closure. While the bridge is closed, vehicular traffic will be detoured to S.W. 7th / S.W. 4th Avenue. Motorists may also access the neighborhoods adjacent to the bridge via Broward Boulevard at S.W. 18th Avenue or Davie Boulevard at S.W. 15th Avenue.
