Fort Lauderdale - This morning the Broward County Health Department lifted the swimming advisory posted for the south end of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Tests results today confirmed waters are safe for swimming.
Yesterday afternoon, the Health Department issued an advisory for a four-block stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach between lifeguard towers #1 and #4. Out of an abundance of caution, the City closed this small area to swimming.
All beaches are now open.
