City of Fort Lauderdale Announces Tropical Storm Fay Updates

Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale announces the following Tropical Storm Fay updates:

City Hall and City of Fort Lauderdale Offices
City Hall and all City of Fort Lauderdale offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, and will resume normal hours of operation on Wednesday.

Parks and Recreation
City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation programming is canceled for this evening. However, Parks and Recreation programming may resume tomorrow evening (Tuesday, August 19), if weather permits.

After-school programming has been cancelled for Tuesday, August 19, 2008.

Sanitation Services
At this time, City of Fort Lauderdale sanitation services are expected to operate on a normal schedule on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. This includes garbage, yard waste and recycling services.

In the event that sustained winds exceed 25 mph on Tuesday, August 19, sanitation services may be suspended. Wind speeds this severe however are not being forecast for our area.
