Overview
The 47th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will take place from Thursday, October 26 through Monday, October 30, 2006. This year, the world’s largest boat show is expected to attract more than 125,000 people who will have an opportunity to view more than 1.6 billion dollars worth of boats, yachts, superyachts, electronics, engines and thousands of accessories from every major marine manufacturer and builder worldwide. The show encompasses more than 3 million square feet of space, both on land and in water, at six sites, all connected by the Show Transportation Network.
Parking on Fort Lauderdale Beach as well as at or near the six Boat Show sites is extremely limited. Parking lots are expected to fill early. The City of Fort Lauderdale encourages showgoers to utilize the Boat Show’s extensive transportation system of buses, riverboats and water shuttles to get back and forth between show sites. Admission
General admission $16; five-day pass $60; Prime Time Preview (Thursday) $30; children, 6 to 12 $5; children under 6 free. Tickets may be purchased in advance online at www.showmanagement.com or at the box offices at the six boat show sites.

Traffic Restrictions
A partial road closure will remain in effect for East Las Olas Boulevard between Seabreeze Boulevard and A1A. One lane will be open in each direction. Motorists should expect heavy delays if traveling in this area during the Boat Show.
One lane of Birch Road will be partially closed between Granada Street and Seville Street as part of the City’s WaterWorks2011 project. Southbound traffic will be diverted to A1A. Northbound traffic will not be affected.
